A serviceable condition of brake calipers is the basic rule for road safety. Today, they are disk brakes the manufacturers use most commonly in modern vehicles. Monitoring the system's health is absolutely necessary to ensure its smooth and reliable operation. The following behavioral signs are a good reason for turning to a body shop:

  • an increased length of brake path;
  • the car drifts sideways when braking;
  • scraping noise and other unwanted sounds are heard when braking.

Reassembling a brake caliper and replacing its faulty components is a proven way to troubleshoot most faults. The unit repair will cost much less than the purchase of a new unit.

Though the design of a brake caliper is rather simple, with no appropriate tools anywhere around, its disassembly/assembly can be quite a headache. The product line of MSG Equipment includes a number of tools that allow us to remove a parking brake mechanism from a brake caliper assembly and seat it back after the inspection and repair:

MS30001 – for TRW brake calipers;

MS30002 – for ATE brake calipers;

MS30004 – for BOSCH brake calipers

Special tools by MSG Equipment are reliable and comfortable in use. It’s much easier to do the job when every tool you need is ready at hand, and you don't have to look around for any tool you can find to remove some component or worry about getting to some hard-to-reach place in a brake mechanism without damaging something in the process. Not only do our tools make the work of a repair technician easier, but they alsoimprove the quality of the repair.
