Widening of the range of ESP units that can be diagnosed Universal cable MS-35670
The MS561 controller requires the use of special diagnostic cables to diagnose steering racks and EPS columns. This places limitations on the range of units that can be tested. In some cases, there may be a need to diagnose a unit for which there is no cable, and its purchase is not rational at all. To solve this problem, the universal cable MS-35670 was developed. It allows you to connect and diagnose a large number of units: racks, columns, pumps, which are controlled via CAN protocol.
But the universal cable has limitations, namely, the MS-35670 cannot diagnose the following units:
- FlexRay controlled units;
- with two CAN buses;
- steering racks with an external control unit, usually from Asian car manufacturers;
- EGUR pumps with special signals.
The MS-35670 universal cable also makes it impossible to diagnose units under load.
An important clarification, when diagnosing with the MS-35670 universal cable, a highly qualified operator is required, because if the cable is incorrectly connected to the machine to be diagnosed, there is a possibility that the machine may be damaged. If you do not have enough knowledge and experience in diagnosing such units, we recommend using specialised diagnostic cables or undergoing training at MSG Equipment training centre.
Cable Configuration
The MS-35670 Universal Diagnostic Cable comes with a basic cable and a set of adapter wires that can be combined to connect to more machines.

The use of the universal cable MS-35670 for its intended purpose, allows you to significantly increase the range of diagnosed units. However, again, it should be noted that the universal cable is not a full-fledged replacement for special diagnostic cables. Because it takes much longer to connect the machine, the connection to the socket is less reliable and requires more care. For this reason, use special diagnostic cables for diagnosing frequently occurring machines, and in rare (isolated) cases – the universal cable.
