Cable FlexRay MS-39008 (208-F) for diagnostics of electric steering racks in Mercedes cars.
A present-day vehicle is a complex system that consists of multiple electronic control units and sensors continuously communicating with each other every split second. The smooth operation of a car depends on the quality of this communication, synchronization, and accuracy.
A FlexRay bus is the successor of the classic CAN and presently is used in most vehicles of German manufacturers. It is faster and more reliable than CAN. One of the key features of the bus is high data rates – it can support data rates up to 10 Mbit/s. It also ensures event-triggered and time-triggered communications. The bus has two data channels that make it fault-tolerant. Communication will continue even if one channel is inoperative.
Due to the use of advanced equipment, our specialists can diagnose steering racks with FlexRay, detect and remove faults.
Diagnostics of FlexRay steering racks require the use of special cables. A FlexRay cable connects the tested unit with controllerMS561, provides their synchronization, and codes transmission. There should be a specific cable for each type of steering rack.
Today we introduce cable MS-39008 (208-F) for diagnostics of electric steering racks in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The cable enables us to perform the following operations:
- read and remove fault codes
- view data real-time
- get access to the information stored in ECUs
- encode
