EPS system controller

The MS561 PRO tester is used for diagnosing EPS steering racks and columns, as well as hydraulic power steering (HPS) pumps, separately from the vehicle's electrical system. The tester provides a wealth of useful information for quick and accurate diagnostics of EPS units:

• a large database of units with the option to search by OEM number;
• information on connecting the unit to the tester, including a diagram for the universal cable and the specific cable number;
• information on the normal (expected) current consumption for the unit under test;
• data on the unit: VIN, hardware version, software version, etc.;
• real-time data from the control module;
• a list of DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

The tester also includes a set of special functions* for EPS repair and preparation for installation in the vehicle:

• VIN programming in the steering rack control module.
• Resetting the rack's linkage to the vehicle.
• Control module software and firmware updates.
• Calibration.
• Software-based restoration of faulty control modules.

*The list of units for which special functions are available is limited and depends on the specific unit and vehicle. This list is constantly expanding with new tester software updates.
